1. Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) Description: A clear, highly corrosive, strong mineral acid with a pungent smell. It is a major component of stomach acid and has wide industrial use. Applications: Used for descaling boilers and heat exchangers Removes rust and scale from steel surfaces Essential in the production of chlorides, fertilizers, and dyes Used in pH control and water treatment processes Caution: Highly corrosive to skin and metals; requires proper PPE during use.

2. Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) (Caustic Soda) Description: A strong alkaline compound in solid (pellets/flakes) or liquid form. It’s highly reactive with acids and organic materials. Applications: Used in degreasing and removing organic matter from machinery Neutralizes acidic contaminants Key ingredient in soap making and chemical manufacturing Commonly used in drain cleaners and metal processing Safety Note: Can cause severe chemical burns. Requires careful handling.
3. Chlorine-Based Cleaners Description: These cleaners contain chlorine compounds such as sodium hypochlorite (bleach) or calcium hypochlorite. Known for their strong oxidizing and disinfecting properties. Applications: Powerful disinfectants for industrial and sanitation use Effective against bacteria, viruses, and fungi Used in water treatment, surface cleaning, and mold removal Common in swimming pool maintenance and food processing facilities Note: Strong fumes; should never be mixed with ammonia.
4. Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) Description: A clear, odorless liquid with strong oxidizing properties. Available in different concentrations, from 3% (medical) to 35%+ (industrial use). Applications: Used as a bleaching and disinfecting agent Effective in removing biological and organic stains Breaks down into water and oxygen — eco-friendly Used in textile, paper, and electronics industries Note: Stabilizers often added for storage; high concentrations are hazardous.
5. Citric Acid (C₆H₈O₇) Description: A weak organic acid naturally found in citrus fruits. Biodegradable and non-toxic, making it ideal for food-safe and eco-friendly cleaning. Applications: Descaler for kettles, coffee machines, and industrial boilers Removes limescale and hard water deposits Used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries Mild enough for household use but effective in industrial formulas

6. Phosphoric Acid (H₃PO₄)

Description: A clear, odorless acid commonly used in rust removal and food processing. It's a medium-strength acid. Applications: Removes rust and mineral scale from metals Prepares metal surfaces for painting (phosphating) Used in fertilizer and detergent manufacturing Found in some food-grade products like cola and flavor enhancers Note: Less corrosive than HCl but still requires caution. .
